Description

Traditionally, the training for the Grupo Gureak personnel in tasks relating to industrial assembly has always been done in the workplace, often resulting in a drop in productivity whilst the training takes place. In order to reduce this lost time, Gureak has developed an application for training and practice in these tasks aimed principally at people with mental disabilities.

This is a very simple, intuitive application, using the sound and images of video and allowing for an individualised training process.
The application is made up of 3 modules: Instruction – where the productive process is broken down into the sequence of operations and each operation is illustrated with a video or image for instruction purposes; Training – broken down into the sequence of operations and each operation practises the cognitive skills associated with industrial assembly (quality of the parts, use of PPEs, recognition and placement of components in the assembly line, etc.); and Validation – once training has been completed, trainees are tested to verify the degree to which the different skills have developed.

During the training and validation process the instructor collects feedback on the students’ times and errors.
This tool is proving to be of great use in training people with a low level and making use of small spaces.
