Counselling

If you have a mental, physical, sensorial disability or a mental illness and you want to work, our Counselling Service will help you to find out which type of job best fits your abilities.

In the first face-to-face interview we’ll talk about your abilities and your needs. With this information in hand, we’ll advise you about the sort of work most adequate for what you want, or about other training resources.

The jobs might be in the occupational service or in Lantegi Batuak’s special employment centres, or through supported employment in a regular company.

Training and Development

Training is one of the pillars of the social and labour development for people with disabilities.

Over the year, in Lantegi Batuak we offer a variety of training sessions which might be pre-employment (before you start working) or continuous (in order to improve the skills of people who are already in work). The sessions may be one-to-one or for groups, and are always focused on improving skills and knowledge in order to get on at work.

The annual training plan includes courses on a wide variety of topics, such as press preparation, interpretation of drafts, computer skills, electronics, how to train your sight ergonomically, languages, working on raised platforms, risk prevention, etc.

The Lanbide Formación (Lanbide Training) programme is co-financed up to 50% by the European Social Fund within the framework of the Basque Country’s 2007-2013 Operative Programme.
